IE Discovery Survey of Government Agencies Shows Continued Growth in Size, Scope and Effort Required to Deal with Electronic Discovery
Most significant increases are in legal reviews, legal holds, consultations with IT and forms of production as collaboration continues to expand beyond the legal department
Austin, Texas (May 19, 2010)— IE Discovery, a leading provider of comprehensive Discovery Management to the legal community, has completed its 2009 Benchmarking Study of Electronic Discovery Practices for Government Agencies. The results confirm the trend of increasing size, scope and efforts required in dealing with electronic discovery. The survey is designed to gather opinions and experiences of those directly involved in electronic discovery activities. This year’s survey participants included government attorneys, records managers, paralegals and information technology (IT) personnel from 25 government agencies.
