Manager of Human Resources

YOUR MISSION: Provide leadership, plan and execute all human resources functions. Report directly to the CEO and keep senior management abreast of concerns, updates and industry changes. Direct internal HR team, external consultants, and vendors to ensure that the HR operations meet deadlines and are in alignment with company mission values and business objectives.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide management oversight for senior and middle management as well as the general employee population in each of the following Human Resource functions: Employment, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Learning and Development programs and Individual Development Plans. This position is responsible for the implementation of policies and programs as well as corporate initiatives.
  • Establish personal credibility and business partnership with management teams by understanding the business and strategic levers for growth. Facilitate high impact consulting with the leaders of the organization. Advise the CEO and management on human resources issues and the possible impact of internal and external actions on the business. Act as a business partner to heads of departments to ensure linkage of any HR related activity to their business plan.
  • Work with Recruiter to develop a talent pipeline strategy, including programs for attracting and retaining high quality talent at all levels to support company growth as well as commitment to diversity and development.
  • Serve as Company Sponsor for internal Training Committee. Work with Directors to set direction and priorities for employee training & development programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure policies, practices and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner and in accordance with all applicable local, state and/or federal laws.
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, compensation and performance review administration, human resources planning and similar initiatives to ensure seamless and on-time implementation.
  • Keep abreast of new laws, market trends and innovations in the field of human resources, making recommendations to management regarding desirable additions or replacements.
  • Travel to other locations (primarily DC Metro Area Office) at least one week a quarter as needed.

  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results driven, rapidly changing environment - with minimal daily oversight and tight deadlines. Flexibility is a must in this position.

YOUR TRACK RECORD

  • Ten years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience comprised of HR leadership with majority of focus in employee relations, performance management, human resources planning, training, organizational development, SCA and Government contracts.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, HR or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
  • HR certification (PHR or SPHR) is strongly desired.

Data Services Manager

YOUR MISSION: To contribute your data analysis savvy and managerial skills to the delivery of quality document management solutions and services to our clients nationwide.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing complex data projects for deliverables to our customers.
         o Leading and managing a team of Data Analysts ensuring efficiency and high standards are imposed on all projects.
         o Working with customers to fortify the relationship between the department and our clients.
         o Managing interdepartmental communications.
         o Leading with a customer-oriented mind set.
  • Manage the Data Analysis Team (staff include data analysts and junior technical) in our Austin office:
         o Handle personnel issues including making hiring/firing decisions and conducting performance evaluations.
         o Establishing professional and personal coaching recommendations for staff.
         o Perform resource and task management for department.
         o Provide training to project leads and programming staff as needed.
         o Mentor staff and develop individual plans for career goals.
         o Ensure that departmental and company policies and quality control procedures are being followed.
         o Provide status reports to Senior Manager and project management staff.
         o Work with Senior Manager and other supervisors to define policy and standards for staff.
  • Provide technical support as needed:
         o Perform data analysis, conversion, manipulation, productions and technical expertise that facilitate usage of various software products.
         o Programming/scripting primarily in Microsoft technologies including MS Access, Visual Basic / Visual Basic for applications, SQL, and some DOS-based volume file manipulation.
         o Conduct client training.

  • Experience with document imaging/document management technology is a big plus.

YOUR MISSION: To contribute your leadership, communication, and data analysis skills to the cutting edge of the legal technology field.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical leadership for meetings with Project Managers and, as requested, outside clients, to iron out technical details and help them track project progress
  • Convert, normalize and migrate data from a variety of database, text and image formats into and out of various formats. This requires scripting and database work in Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
  • Build and improve tools to efficiently automate data analysis and manipulation tasks.
  • Meet ad-hoc requests for our clients. Examples of this could be a one-time report in a specific format, a complicated data migration and cleanup, or anything else the client may request.
  • Consistently communicate work progress with integrity.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Strong communicator, incredibly detail-oriented, flexible with changing deadlines and requirements.
  • 3+ years experience analyzing and manipulating data in Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
  • 3+ years experience developing tools and applications against relational databases in Microsoft Access and SQL.
  • 3+ years experience with relational database design and Transactional SQL.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with relational database administration.
  • Experience with Litigation Support and Litigation Technology.
  • 3+ years experience gathering and clarifying client requirements (Systems or Business analysis).

Short Term Assistant Project Manager

  • Assist Project Manager with meeting project goals and deadlines, maintaining positive customer relationships, and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Envision and commit to the client's expectations and definition of success for every assigned project.
